CBSE board examinations begins: 42 lakh students, severe rules!

Today marks the start of the 2025 CBSE Board Exams, with over 42 lakh students taking part in 7,842 centers. Learn all there is to know about the exam schedule, the rigorous entry requirements, the objects that are not allowed, and the security precautions.

Today, february 15, marks the start of the Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) 2025 board exams. More than 42 lakh students are expected to take the test across 7,842 locations in india and 26 other countries. Data from the CBSE indicates that 17,88,165 students will sit for the Class 12 examinations, which encompass 120 topics, while 24,12,072 pupils will take the Class 10 exams, which cover 84 subjects. Compared to the 38,85,542 applicants from the previous year, there has been a notable increase of 3,14,695 students.

Exam timetable and instructions

Class 12 students will take the Entrepreneurship test on the first day, while Class 10 students will take the english (Communicative) and english (Language and Literature) examinations. Strict admittance requirements will apply, and the tests will run from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Strict guidelines for students entering

students are not allowed to enter after 10:00 AM, thus they must arrive before then.

• Before 1:30 PM, students are not permitted to leave the exam room.

• Private applicants require a government-issued photo ID, whilst regular students must provide their admit cards and school ID cards.

• While private applicants should dress comfortably, normal pupils are required to wear school uniforms.
