In this regard, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam leader Vijay has expressed his condemnation through his X-handle. In his post, he said, "The fourth pillar of democracy, the freedom of the press, which belongs to the journalism sector, must be protected. There is an opinion that the central government is the reason for the blocking of the website of the century-old Vikatan. If the opinions published by the press and media are wrong or incriminating, then a solution should be sought through the courts, but acting in a way that stifles freedom of expression is nothing but questioning the constitutional right?” he has questioned.

Similarly, in his post regarding the trilingual policy issue, he said, “Challenging the state language policy, publicly announcing that we will not allocate funds to tamil Nadu, and blocking the Vikatan website are fascist approaches that are against democracy and deserve condemnation. No matter who adopts fascist approaches in any form, be it the Union government or the state government, the Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhgam party will always stand by the people and resolutely oppose them.”
