Kamalamma, who was suffering from Guillain-Barre, passed away due to a heart problem, GGH Superintendent Dr. ramana Yashasvi said. The condition of another GBS victim is also critical. She is being treated in the ICU. He said that they are providing better treatment to save her. The mortality rate of people suffering from this GBS disease is only 5 percent. So the GGH Superintendent advised people not to panic.
Doctors suspect that Guillain Barre is a bacterial disease, but there is still no clarity on this. There are only suspicions that the bacteria Campylobacter jejuni is the cause of this disease. It is said that this GBS enters the body and affects the immune system. As a result, the immune system that should fight these bacteria and viruses and protect our health attacks our body itself. It is said that as the nerves are attacked, there is a possibility of cramps, muscle weakness, and paralysis. It is warned that sometimes it can be fatal.

Therefore, medical help should be sought immediately as soon as GBS symptoms appear. If you are not careful, it can become dangerous and damage your health. In ap, however, those infected with this virus are being treated at guntur GGH.

GBS Symptoms:

The main symptom that appears first in people infected with Guillain-Barre Syndrome is cramps. Numbness and tingling in the palms and feet. It gradually increases and spreads throughout the body. Due to these cramps, the body becomes tingling. Symptoms like fever and abdominal pain are also seen in those infected with this disease. Vomiting and diarrhea are also symptoms of GBS. There is pain in the legs and arms due to muscle weakness.

This GBS also affects the respiratory system. It also affects the respiratory muscles. So those infected with it face difficulty in breathing. This syndrome affects blood pressure and impairs heart function. In some people, it can lead to a heart attack. The death of the ap woman may have happened in this way.
