The US-Russia talks to end the ukraine war are taking place in Riyadh, saudi arabia today. The US and Russian foreign ministers and officials have traveled to Riyadh for these talks.
Russia's Foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, President Vladimir Putin's foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov, and officials have gone on behalf of the country. The US's Foreign minister Marco Rubio, Donald Trump's national adviser Mike Waltz, and US special envoy for the Middle east Steve Whitcap have gone on behalf of the country. Regarding this, the Russian President's Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, "Restoring US-Russian relations and finding a solution to the ukraine issue will be key issues in the talks." No one from ukraine participated in these talks. No invitation was extended to ukraine by the US. This has made ukraine unhappy. Speaking on this, Ukrainian President Zelensky said, "Ukraine has not been invited to participate in the talks in Saudi Arabia. Any talks without Ukrainian officials will not be fruitful. We will not accept the decisions made in the talks." This raises the question of whether ukraine will accept any decision regarding the ceasefire if US and Russian officials talk today.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is scheduled to visit saudi arabia tomorrow. He is going there with his wife. This trip was decided last week. This is his personal trip. ukraine has announced that he will not meet with the leaders of the united states and russia regarding the ceasefire during this trip.
