Five South indian female performers, formerly adored by viewers, decided to leave the business at the height of their careers, including shalini and Asin.

Asin
With her versatility and charisma, asin thottumkal, a name that is synonymous with success in tamil, telugu, and hindi films, enthralled viewers. Her career was replete with huge successes, such as ghajini and Housefull 2 in hindi, Pokkiri and Kaavalan in tamil, and lakshmi Narasimha, Ready, and gharshana in Telugu.
 
Asin won several accolades, including the SIIMA and Filmfare Awards, for her ability to switch between languages and genres with ease. She decided to leave the film business in 2015, at the height of her career, to concentrate on her personal life after getting married.
 
Shalini
Shalini In the 1980s, ajith Kumar—who was once known as Baby Shalini—was a well-known figure in tamil and malayalam films. She started as a kid performer in movies like Ente Mamattikkuttiyammakku and television shows like Amloo. She then became a popular leading woman with hits like Aniyathipravu, Alaipayuthey, and Neram. shalini resigned from performing in 2002 following her marriage to actor ajith kumar in 2000.
 
Nagma
In the 1990s, nagma Arvind Morarji, who is more often known as just nagma, had a successful career in tamil, telugu, hindi, and Bhojpuri films. nagma was one of the most versatile actors of her time, appearing in such classic tamil films as Kadhalan, Baasha, Mettukudi, and Chathurangam, and in telugu such as Gharan Mogudu, Major Chandrakanth, and allari Alludu. Following a successful film career, nagma bravely entered politics in 2008, leaving acting to concentrate on her new political endeavors.
 
Gopika
With her significant performance in 4 the people, which included the popular song Lejjavathiye Ninde Kalla Kadaikkannil, Gopika's name became synonymous with emotional performances in malayalam films. Through her roles in Yuvasena, Autograph, and Naa Autograph, she also established herself in telugu and tamil cinema. Following her marriage in 2008, gopika departed the industry.
 
Rambha
In the 1990s and early 2000s, vijayalakshmi Yeedi, better known by her stage name rambha, dominated several South indian cinema industries. rambha was well-known for her ability to engage viewers in tamil, telugu, and hindi movies thanks to her iconic parts in films like Arunachalam, Ullathai Allitha, and Chronic Bachelor. Bhairava Dweepam, Bangaru Kutumbam, Hitler, Ganesh, and Judwaa are some of her other well-known pieces. rambha chose to move away from the limelight and concentrate on her personal life in 2011 after a prosperous career in the South indian film business.
