According to this, tesla is said to be planning to launch its cars in india in april 2025. It seems that tesla is planning to import electric cars from its Berlin factory in germany and start selling them in India. Considering the competitiveness and public acceptance in the indian market, tesla is planning to launch a cheap electric car at a price of less than $ 25,000, i.e. less than Rs 20 lakh. Tesla's budget-priced car is expected to have a big impact on the indian automobile market.

For this, tesla has advertised for 13 job openings in mumbai such as Store Manager, service Advisor, and service Technician, and it has also been reported that tesla is casting a net for employees of the Tata Group for this.
 
There are talks that the import duties on electric cars imported into india are likely to be reduced further. It is said that the indian government may reduce the duties due to the fear of reciprocal duties imposed by the US government. In the last budget, the central government reduced the basic customs duty on imported cars priced above $40,000 from 100% to 70%. However, the basic customs duty on cars priced up to $40,000 remains at 70%. It is expected that further reduction in taxes on budget cars will be possible, which will reduce the prices of not only tesla cars but also all imported cars.
