Another fire At maha Kumbh — bike Erupts In Flames Amid Traffic Jam In Prayagraj
Maha Kumbh Fire: A moving bike caught fire at the maha Kumbh site. The bike was gutted, and the area was evacuated due to the risk of an explosion.
Maha Kumbh Fire: The series of fire incidents at and around the maha Kumbh site don't seem to end. Another fire was reported on wednesday when a moving bike caught fire at Alopi Bagh entry point. The bike was gutted to fire in the middle of the intersection.
Vehicles and devotees on foot were immediately stopped as the administration and police put up barricades around the intersection. The public was moved away from the fire. The entire intersection was evacuated given the possibility of an explosion following the fire.
A fire brigade team reached the spot within five minutes and extinguished the fire. But by then, the bike had burnt to ashes. Officials suspect the fire could have been sparked due to overheating as the biker was stuck in a traffic jam for a long time.
Earlier on february 13, a fire broke out at the police line camp near Nagvasuki on bindu Madhav Marg in Sector 6 of the maha Kumbh, gutting two tents, officials said. However, no casualties were reported.
Chief fire Officer (Kumbh) Pramod Sharma said that smoke was seen rising from the police line camp in Sector 6 under Nagvasuki police station limits around noon.
"Four fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the spot, and they managed to control the blaze within minutes. However, two tents were destroyed in the fire," Sharma said, confirming that there were no casualties in the incident.
