In Tiruppur, tamil Nadu, three bihar laborers, including a teenager, were taken into custody on wednesday on suspicion of raping a 27-year-old lady at knifepoint after tying up her husband and threatening to cut her child's neck, according to police.
According to Yadav Girish, the superintendent of police (SP) in the Tirupur district, "This family of three from odisha met the accused near the Tiruppur railway station on february 17 when they were reportedly considering returning to odisha due to dissatisfaction with their jobs in the local garment manufacturing units."
"After promising them employment at the plant where they worked, the accused enticed the family to their room. They tied up her spouse with rope and then sexually abused her at knifepoint during the night. The accused threatened to cut the child's neck with the knife when the lady protested, according to Girish.
The police detained Mohamed Nadeem, Mohamed Danish, and a 17-year-old after the couple complained to the Tiruppur North All-Women police station on tuesday night.
According to Girish, the woman was admitted to Tiruppur's government Medical college and Hospital.
This occurred one day after seven college students were taken into custody in tamil Nadu's coimbatore district on suspicion of gang-raping a 17-year-old female. Statewide indignation has been triggered by the occurrence.
The All india Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), the opposition party, demonstrated against the increase in sexual offenses in schools and universities on Tuesday.

When will law enforcement and government realize that preventing these kinds of offenses is their main responsibility rather than bragging about making arrests? Dr. S. Ramadoss, the founder of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), stated in a statement.
"Unlike under the previous AIADMK regime, survivors now feel confident to report these crimes under our administration," stated Sevugan Regupathy, state law minister and leader of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
