IKEA to open its store in chennai and Pune..!?

IKEA, a private retail company that sells home appliances on an international scale, has announced that it will focus on chennai as its next step. With this, it has been confirmed that an IKEA store will be opened in chennai as soon as possible. IKEA, headquartered in Sweden, sells furniture and home appliances. This company is also a famous brand internationally. This company has been selling home appliances for almost 81 years. In terms of india, IKEA opened its store for the first time in 2018. The company currently has stores in Bengaluru and Mumbai. It had announced in 2021 that it would open large malls in Gurugram and Noida. IKEA has now shifted its focus to chennai and pune in India.
IKEA india CEO Susanne Bulwerer said that since quality standards have been tightened in india, we will focus on chennai and pune by making changes to suit the challenges. She also predicted that chennai and pune are cities with good growth potential. The central government is going to set various quality standards for furniture that can be imported from abroad. We can expect an announcement regarding this soon. Susanne said that her company will face various challenges when this comes into effect and that her company plans to expand its business in india despite all these challenges.
She assured us that we will not bring or sell any product that does not meet the government's standards. In 2021, the government brought various standards regarding the import and sale of toys. Even then, we faced some challenges but we have recovered from them, she said. She said that IKEA currently sells more than 7,000 products in india and has also started selling its wooden furniture and home appliances through e-commerce in the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, and Karnataka.
