Now if you do this on google pay, you will be charged!?

The free UPI payment era is slowly but surely coming to an end, especially if you use the payment mode for bill payments. google pay has announced that it will charge a specific amount as a fee when paying electricity bills, gas bills, etc. Apps like google pay, phone Pe, PayTM, etc. have gained a lot of popularity among people in transferring money digitally. Such online money transfer apps are taking various steps to ensure their sustainable growth by charging a specific amount as a service fee for UPI transactions. In that way, google pay has announced that it will charge customers for some services, like phone Pe, PayTM, etc.
While google pay is already charging a service fee of Rs. 3 for recharge, it has been announced that it will charge for services including electricity bills and gas bills. That is, a fee of 0.5 percent to 1 percent of the bill amount will be charged. In the month of january alone, a total of Rs. 23.48 lakh crore UPI transactions were made in the country. Of this, Rs. 8.26 lakh crore UPI transactions were made on google pay alone.
