'Remove all videos and photos related to delhi railway station stampede', Railway Ministry's letter to social media platform X.

The Railway Ministry has written a letter to social media platform X. In this letter, the Railway Ministry has asked X to remove all the videos and photos related to the stampede that took place at delhi railway station on 15 February from its platform. The ministry has cited ethical norms behind this.


Citing ethical norms and IT policy in the letter, the Railways has asked X to remove such videos in which dead bodies and unconscious passengers are seen. The ministry has asked X to remove about 250 such videos within 36 hours. However, no reply has been given by X on the letter of the Railway Ministry yet.


There was a stampede at the railway station on February 15

There was a stampede at New delhi railway station on February 15 when a huge crowd of passengers going to maha Kumbh had gathered there. Then there was a stampede at the station due to the announcement of a delay in special trains and a change of platform18 people died in this accident. While 15 people were injured.


According to news agency IANS, the railway administration has formed a two-member committee to find out the reason for the stampede. This committee includes PCCM Narsingh Dev of Northern Railway and Pankaj Gangwar of PCSC Northern Railway. The committee has been directed to take strict action against the culprits by analyzing all the available evidence including video footage of New delhi Railway Station.


According to railway officials, this stampede took place on the stairs between platform number 14 and 15. Magadh Express going towards Patna was standing on platform 14, while Uttar Sampark Kranti going towards Jammu was standing on platform 15. The incident occurred when passengers were going towards the platform through the foot over the bridge and slipped on the stairs, due to which other passengers also got hit.
