Trump clashed with G7 countries for Putin...?

The war between russia and ukraine started 3 years ago on 24 february 2022. Since then, both the countries are continuously standing in the battlefield with the help of their allies. During this, thousands of soldiers from both sides have died. Many people have also been seriously injured. However, despite this, there is no sign of the war ending yetMeanwhile, US President Donald Trump had given a statement, due to which a controversy arose. He blamed ukraine for starting the war. However, in the war so far, America has emerged as the biggest ally of Ukraine. During the tenure of former President Joe Biden, America provided billions of rupees of aid to ukraine, but a ruckus has arisen over the statement of new President Donald Trump. The statement being prepared by the G7 group on the occasion of the third anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war has blamed russia for the war. However, the US, an important country in the G7, has opposed the fact that russia is responsible for the war because US President donald trump earlier this week blamed ukraine for the war, which was actually started by Russia.

US response to the G7 statement

A G7 official said that the first draft of this statement was distributed to the other six member countries by the current president Canada. It maintained the support to ukraine against the invasion of ukraine by russia in february 2022. However, the US side looked at the draft and removed all references from it, which could be interpreted as pro-Ukraine.

Effect of US objections

After the amendments made by the US, the draft statement changed to a neutral tone, in which neither russia was described as an aggressor nor ukraine as a victim of aggression. According to senior G7 officials, the draft now refers to a devastating war that began with Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but does not use terms such as Russian aggression, which were used in earlier G7 statements.
