Social activist Anna Hazare said on friday (21 February) that aam aadmi party (AAP) leader arvind kejriwal was doing 'good work' as the chief minister of Delhi, but then he started opening liquor shops and as a result he had to face the anger of the people.

Anna Hazare also praised delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta. Talking to news agency PTI, he said that it is a matter of pride for a woman to become the new chief minister of the national capital. Referring to chief minister Rekha Gupta, he said that people voted for her because of her 'pure thoughts and actions'.

'Arvind kejriwal had gone astray' - Anna Hazare

It is worth noting that the aam aadmi party was born only after Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement. Referring to the controversial excise policy (now defunct) of the previous AAP government, he said that arvind kejriwal as the chief minister should have set an example for the society, but he went astray.

'I got upset when he started opening liquor shops' - Anna Hazare

Social activist Anna Hazare said, "The previous chief minister (Arvind Kejriwal) was doing good work and became the chief minister of delhi thrice. I did not say anything against him because he was doing good work, but then gradually he started opening liquor shops and started issuing licenses. Then I got upset."

Let us tell you, Anna Hazare is considered a vocal opponent of consumption or sale of alcohol. arvind kejriwal was once an ally of Anna Hazare in the anti-corruption movement, but both of them separated after the formation of AAP in 2012.
