"The character I played in
aravinda sametha veera raghava (2018), I feel, dressed a lot like me,"
pooja adds, discussing how the personas she portrayed had distinct
fashion statements and affected her. It was a great discovery of who I am, and it felt like me. I also enjoy changing into different people. I play a modest rural
girl wearing a sari in my next
movie Retro, which I'm doing with Suriya. It's de-glam, which is also powerful because it makes you feel unique.

The actor has two highly anticipated, high-budget
hindi and South films in the works. "This year, I just want to do films that make me happy as an actor and explore challenging roles," she says, expressing excitement about her upcoming projects. I've taken on parts in
hindi and South films that I hadn't previously considered. I took a step back while selecting tasks. And I decided to collaborate with filmmakers who inspire me.

I have also made an effort to keep everything in balance; there are commercials, masalas, and comedies. The
movie starring Suriya, Retro, is very different from David Dhawan's next project with
varun Dhawan. Vijay and I have Jana Nayagan, and two more announcements are in the horizon. This year, I'm working in three languages, so the
audience will see me in a variety of ways.
