15 lakh bribe and got a job in railways, cbi registered a case against 6


Cases of fraud in railway recruitment examinations have come to the fore earlier as well. To get a job in the railways, some people make other candidates sit in the examination. Incidents like rigging in the examination have been happening.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against 4 people and 2 unknown people in the case of getting a job in the railways through fraudulent means. It includes 3 railway officials and 1 fake candidate. The case was registered on 21 february 2025 on the complaint and recommendation of the Vigilance Department of West Central Railway, jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh).


Names of the accused

Goods train Manager Rajendra Kumar meena of Kota Division of West Central Railway, Sapna meena as Assistant TRD in the Electrical Department of Kota Division, Chetram meena working in the Technical Department, lakshmi meena and 2 other unknown people are included.


What is the matter

It is alleged that Assistant TRD (Khalasi Helper) posted in West Central Railway, Kota (Rajasthan) along with other accused rigged the exam to get a railway job. He took the help of a dummy candidate who appeared in the railway recruitment exam in his place. Fake identity cards, photos, and fingerprints were used in the entire selection process. Not only this, a bribe of Rs 15 lakh was also given to get the job. There is also a possibility of the involvement of some unknown railway officials in this mess.


CBI is conducting raids

In this case, the CBI has raided the hideouts of the accused in the Kota and Sawai Madhopur districts of Rajasthan. The investigating agency has started collecting important documents and evidence.

The cbi has said that the investigation is still on and more arrests may be made in the future. The investigating agency is also probing whether other railway employees or officers are involved in this irregularity.
