Donald trump again made a big statement about Zelensky...

Tensions are increasing between former US President donald trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In a recent interview to Fox News, trump intensified his attack on Zelensky, saying that Zelensky's presence is not necessary in peace talks aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine war.

Speaking from his home in Palm Beach, Florida, trump said that while he has had a "good conversation" with Russian President Vladimir Putin, his relations with ukraine have been tense. He stressed that ukraine has no major role in the talks, which is complicating the resolution of the conflict.

Trump's changed opinion on Ukraine

Trump's latest remarks reflect a major change from his earlier stance. Earlier, he had criticized Zelensky, calling him a "dictator without elections", but now trump has said that Zelensky's participation in peace talks is not important. According to him, Zelensky's presence will make peace talks more difficult. trump also said that ukraine has no effective option in the talks, yet they are complicating it. He said, "They have no optionbut they still create difficulties. We will not let this go on anymore."

Ukraine's absence from peace talks

Tensions between the US and ukraine escalated further when Ukrainian representatives were excluded from ceasefire talks held between Russian diplomats and global leaders in Saudi Arabia. Zelensky expressed displeasure at being excluded from this dialogue and demanded Ukraine's inclusion in key talks to end the conflict started by russia in 2022.

Trump's proposal on Ukraine's resources

In the same interview, trump suggested that in exchange for billions of dollars in US aid under the Biden administration, ukraine should provide American companies priority access to its natural resources. Zelensky has not yet explicitly agreed to this proposal and it has become the cause of another dispute between the two leaders. trump praised the bravery of the Ukrainian people, but referred to its financial burden on the US, saying, "We are spending our treasury on a country that is very far away."
