At a public event on Saturday, Pakistan's prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, made the audacious claim that "if pakistan does not surpass india in progress, then my name is not Shehbaz Sharif." Speaking to a sizable gathering in Dera Ghazi Khan, Sharif also announced the opening of several development projects and pledged to guide pakistan through its present difficulties to transform it into a great country.

"My name is not Shehbaz Sharif if we don't go from India. "We will transform pakistan into a great country and surpass india," Sharif declared, reaffirming his resolve to surpass India.

According to a report by HUM news English, the prime minister boldly said that Pakistan's destiny was meant for grandeur and pledged to lead the nation toward wealth.
 
He said that instead of depending on loans, pakistan would prioritize developing a self-sufficient economy under his direction. Sharif also cited the recent decline in the nation's inflation rate, which he said had fallen from 40% when his administration assumed power to only 2% now.

In the meanwhile, Sharif's comments have garnered a lot of attention on social media in india and Pakistan.  On X, a lot of people thought his comment was funny, and some even made jokes about renaming him.
