On Sunday, rekha Gupta, the chief minister of delhi, stated that although the previous AAP government had left the public coffers empty, her administration will continue to run the ₹2,500 monthly program for women. The bharatiya janata party (BJP) had pledged in its delhi election platform to provide ₹21,000 for pregnant women and ₹2,500 per month for women from "poor families" under the "Mahila Samriddhi Yojana" ahead of the assembly elections.

"The state of affairs left by the previous administration is so dire that the public coffers seem to be entirely depleted when we discuss the financial situation with authorities.  At a press conference, rekha Gupta stated, "We will introduce the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana to the public with careful planning. It is a regular feature for the people of delhi, a continuous effort for our sisters."

She said that during the delhi government's first session, all MLAs will take an oath.  The lieutenant governor would swear in the pro tem speakers on Monday, and the Speaker and Deputy Speaker would be chosen.

In a previous letter to chief minister rekha Gupta, former delhi chief minister, and AAP leader Atishi asked for a meeting with the AAP legislative delegation on february 23 to talk about implementing prime minister Narendra Modi's election campaign pledge to implement the ₹2,500 monthly scheme for women.

Atishi said that even though the first cabinet meeting took place on february 20, the stated plan was not accepted.  She went on to say, "The women of delhi trusted Modi Ji's guarantee, and now they feel deceived."

According to Atishi, the women's help plan would have been adopted at the first cabinet meeting if PM Modi's assurance had been sincere.  Modi Ji's "false claims" were exposed by chief minister rekha Gupta on her first day in office, she said.

"The women's financial aid plan would have been approved at the first cabinet meeting if Modi ji's assurance had been genuine.  However, on her first day as chief minister, rekha Gupta disproved Modi ji's assertions and demonstrated that his assurance was at least as good as "Jumla."  "Atishi said."

"In a press conference, bjp President jp nadda stated that the plan will be adopted in the first cabinet meeting, and Modi ji made repeated promises from every platform that women would receive Rs 2,500.  But this hasn't occurred," she said.

Atishi questioned whether cm rekha Gupta will once more disprove PM Modi's assurance that the ₹2,500 assistance would be transferred by march 8.

Additionally, Modi ji pledged that by march 8, the Rs 2,500 will be deposited into women's bank accounts.  I would like to know if rekha Gupta would refute Modi ji's assurance on march 8th.  Atishi asked.
