The top 10 Archaeological survey of india (ASI) sites with the most indian tourists included Hyderabad's well-known tourist destination, Charminar.  It came in at number nine on the list issued by the indian Ministry of Tourism for the fiscal year 2023–2024.

In 2023–2024, the number of domestic visitors climbed from 9.29 lakh in 2022–2023 to 12.9 lakh. The foot traffic increased by nearly 38%, which is greater than the 10.8% rise that was seen for all ASI monuments during the fiscal year. In the fiscal year 2022–2023, there were 479.01 lakh domestic visitors to all ASI monuments, while in the fiscal year 2023–2024 there were 530.9 lakh. This is a huge boost for the tourist destination.

Golkonda Fort
In addition to Charminar, Golkonda fort in hyderabad was included as one of the ASI monuments having the most indian visitors.  16.08 lakh people visited the historical site in 2023–2024.  In 2022–2023, it was 15.27 lakh.  It went up by more than five percent. The top ten ASI monuments with the most indian visitors are shown below. In addition to topping the list, the taj mahal had a more than 20% surge in visitors.
