Indian customers are criticizing jio Hotstar for offering poor streaming quality, even to those who have paid for its premium service. Users in india are limited to 1080p quality, poor frame rates, and stereo sound, even though the same video is accessible outside of the country in 4K UHD with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Many customers have vented their frustration on X, claiming that the platform restricts app users to 25 frames per second while providing jio Set-Top Box (STB) users with 50 frames per second.  Users are asking why they are not receiving the premium experience for which they paid ₹1,499 a year, leading to claims of unfair treatment.

HBO material retained higher quality while it was offered on Hotstar (before to its switch to JioCinema).  Many people are now wondering if jio Hotstar was unable to obtain the appropriate licenses for upgraded and high-resolution audio formats.  Because of this, some irate consumers have acknowledged using piracy to obtain higher-quality copies of the lawfully purchased item.

In the meantime, Prime Video seems to be becoming a formidable rival in the indian market.  Prime Video still has a sizable library of 4K HDR material, even though not all of its titles are accessible in 4K or Dolby Vision.  More significantly, when enabled, it produces higher-quality audio, guaranteeing a 5.1 surround sound experience that is true and genuinely immersive.  Given the growing criticism of jio Hotstar, Prime Video has a chance to increase its market share by continuously providing high-quality streaming.  Although jio Hotstar has not yet responded to these grievances, indian customers could keep searching for other options till the platform enhances its services.  Kindly look into it. Fascinating. I appreciate the tip.
