Reports that taapsee pannu will be the heroine in Subhash Ghai's sequel Aitraaz 2 had already taken an unexpected turn.  The original picture that arrived in 2004 had been one of the largest success-ever; part of that renown was the unforgettable act by priyanka Chopra, who portrays the figure of a femme fatale defined by seduction and manipulation.  The figure became a legend thanks to her charisma and glitz, which had a lasting effect on Bollywood.

However, Taapsee's purported casting has sparked widespread doubt.  The most anticipated of her recent box office failures, Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, also failed to make an impression, according to critics.  She was even referred to as a "amateur actress" by others, who said she was unfit to portray a part that required intellectual prowess and erotic appeal.

In contrast to Priyanka's dramatic and mysterious portrayal in Aitraaz, Taapsee's on-screen persona encourages her to play aggressive, socially conscious parts.  Taapsee is not the type of femme fatale that guys would kill to see because she is so incredibly seductive.  We all believe that she lacks the sensual presence and spell-casting abilities necessary to perform such a role with conviction.  This potential miscasting raises serious concerns about the film's viability.  Although Taapsee's casting is seen as a mistake, it lowers the expectation for Aitraaz 2, which may be a box office success.
