But if I wanted to do a film, my salary was a problem. Without my salary, the film would have cost 10-20 crores. So I thought it would be right to share the profits,” aamir khan said.
Also, “I earn money by taking a share of the profits, which is like what people who used to do in street concerts used to do. They would sing on the street, then take off their hats and extend them to the audience. If they liked it, they would give money, if not, they would leave it. Similarly, if my film does well, I will earn money, if not, I will not. I have been doing this for more than 20 years, I don't get paid," aamir khan has said.

The film made a lot of money. So I also got a share of that profit.
