The united states has deported hundreds of illegal migrants, including Indians, to Panama.  Images of several of them holding up "help us" signs from the hotel windows where they were staying have now surfaced.  299 deportees from India, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and other nations were transported to panama last week as part of Trump's campaign on illegal immigration.  All of these immigrants have either refused to return home or been sent away by their host nations.

According to Panama's security minister, the deportees are not formally "detained."  It doesn't sound much better, though, when he acknowledges that they were unable to leave the hotel freely.  In the midst of this, unsettling pictures of deportees putting up signs that read "Help us" and "Please save us" have surfaced.  Our own country is not a secure place for us.

Although the immediate nationality of these migrants is unknown, the indian Embassy in panama acted promptly to ensure the safety of its nationals.  They made sure indian immigrants were "safe and secure at a hotel with all essential facilities" in a social media post.  It is believed that the immigrants from war-torn nations like Afghanistan, who are refusing to return home, made the cries for assistance.  Once the identities of all the deportees have been verified, the indian government is willing to return its people.
