Recently, Robert De Niro debuted on OTT with zero Day, a political thriller.  Since its february 20, 2025, premiere, the series has been streamed on Netflix.  Nevertheless, the series has fallen short of expectations, and the reviews are making this clear to everyone.  The show's absence of thriller components has been noted by critics, and the fundamental plotline isn't receiving much appreciation.

Others have said that there are a few people that create an impression and that Robert's character struggles to connect emotionally. However, some of them are also being likened to real-life figures, such Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla.  Bill Camp, who plays the CIA director, is one specific character from the program that has gotten some recognition.

Additionally, the way the producers handled the primary topic has drawn a lot of criticism, and several publications claimed that even though the cast had outstanding actors, the most of them were squandered.  In addition to all of that, the program has been criticized for being extremely inaccurate when depicting scenes of contemporary politics, and De Niro's appearance does not prevent the performance from crashing.

It appears that Robert De Niro may need to wait a little while longer to win over the OTT audiences.  Right now, the best course of action for him would be to choose a better screenplay that demonstrates his talent in addition to a compelling plot.  Although zero Day may increase Netflix's audience, the program appears to be a complete failure already.
