With several major films aiming for a release around the holiday season, this year's dussehra box office battle is expected to be fierce. Discussions on the possible confrontation between Rishab Shetty's Kantara Chapter 1 and Prabhas' raja Saab are rife on social media. The october 2 release date of Kantara Chapter 1, the precursor to the 2022 blockbuster, has already been set.  High hopes are raised for this sequel because the previous movie became a national success.
 
According to sources, Prabhas' horror-comedy raja Saab, which was helmed by Maruthi, may be rescheduled for release in October. The film is still unfinished, thus a dussehra release is more likely even if the producers had already booked april 10.  In an attempt to build on Akhanda's popularity, Balakrishna's akhanda 2: Thaandavam is formally scheduled for september 25, which would only heighten the dussehra rush.

However, there will be more rivalry because Sai Dharam Tej's Sambarala Yeti Gattu is also scheduled.  Raja Saab may have to make difficult decisions if these two films do well because they may take over theaters.  The release schedule is further complicated by rumors that ram charan and Buchi Babu's sporting drama may be released on october 16.  Fans will have to wait and watch how the box office war plays out since there are so many major names in the mix that it's unclear who will be on the final dussehra lineup.
