Nirjala Upavasa (complete fast without water)

Phalahar Upavasa (fruits, milk, and water allowed)

Perform Rudrabhisheka

Offer sacred items to the shiva Linga, such as:

Do Not Consume Tamasik Food

Avoid Breaking the Fast Incorrectly

If you are fasting, do not eat heavy or spicy food immediately after breaking the fast. Start with fruits or light food.

Refrain from Sleeping at Night

Staying awake and engaging in devotion is considered highly auspicious.

Do Not Use Tulsi Leaves for Worship

Tulsi is dear to Lord vishnu but is not offered to Lord Shiva.

Avoid Arka (Calotropis) Flowers and Ketaki (Screw Pine) Flowers

These flowers are considered inauspicious for shiva Puja.

Do Not Use Coconut Water for Abhisheka
