Bangladesh has claimed that the remarks of removed prime minister Sheikh Hasina, who is allegedly living in india, are stoking the flames in bangladesh in a new verbal spat amidst the ongoing strains in India-Bangladesh ties. The top Bangladeshi official also accused india of "interfering" in Bangladesh's domestic affairs.

"Bangladesh must handle its issues independently.  Regarding Bangladesh's security situation, Tauhid Hussain, the foreign adviser in the interim government, stated that it has been demonstrated that Sheikh Hasina's address from india is escalating the conflict.

Statement on minority Hindus in Bangladesh
This is an internal Bangladeshi issue about the country's minority Hindu population.  In the same way, they are concerned about the minority group in India.  On this matter, we must both commit to not interfering with one another.  Tauhid elaborated on India's claims.

He stated that remarks are being made against india by members of the Bangladeshi administration.  Both sides are making these kinds of remarks.  A minister from india is always making remarks.  Assuming that these kinds of remarks will continue to be made, we are attempting to build relationships.  In reaction to EAM Jaishankar's remark regarding bangladesh, he stated, "Therefore, our focus is only on improving relations between the two countries, regardless of what is being said."

For those who are unaware, India's EAM previously stated that bangladesh must choose the type of relationship it desires with India.

Yunus govt turning bangladesh into terrorism hub: Sheikh Hasina
The interim administration led by Mohammed Yunus was accused by the country's deposed prime minister of transforming bangladesh into a hotbed of anarchy and terrorism.  She also promised to come home to provide justice and support to hurting relatives.

She accused Yunus of keeping quiet as dozens of police officers were slain during student-led protests against her quota changes last year and enabling anarchy to take over, claiming that because he has admitted that he lacks expertise in leading a country, he should not do so.
