Allu arjun previously produced the first installment of pushpa, a classic smash for amazon Prime Video.  When it was out in 2021, this movie was a huge hit, or OTT.  Pushpa 1 helped amazon obtain a lot of views during the COVID-19 lockout, and allu arjun did a fantastic job of working the magic for them.

Now that the second installment of pushpa is out on Netflix, it must be acknowledged that the first response to the first installment on amazon Prime is not quite as harsh.  The first segment was an instant hit on Prime Video and had the potential to appeal to all demographics of viewers nationwide.  It might very easily be considered a banner movie for amazon, and it remained such for a year or two, which is a huge accomplishment.
 
However, the sequel, which is currently available for streaming on Netflix, may not have as high of an audience.  It should be mentioned that the movie had a respectable beginning before slowing off during the OTT premiere weekend.  With the exception of sporadic fan wars over the Rappa Rappa and Kateramma fight scenes in Salaar, there aren't many discussions about the movie on social media these days either.
 
Pushpa 2's OTT reach has been rather saturated and stagnant outside of this zone.  The lockdown advantage in the first section allowed individuals to work from home and had more time to burn, which is a significant difference.  Furthermore, the mannerisms and melodies were quite impressive.  Getting to the second point, there wasn't a crazy rush for OTT since people had become used to what was available and the great majority of them watched the movie in theaters.
