Horrors befell a group of residents who had assembled for their usual yoga session on a typical morning on the ganga ghats in Kolkata, close to Kumartuli. Although Kumartuli is a peaceful neighborhood throughout the rest of the year, it is the center for sculptors who create pictures for Durga Puja.

However, at approximately 7:30 a.m. today, two women with a purple trolley luggage got out of a blue and white taxi.

They attempted to pull it in the direction of the river, but they were unable to do it even together.

The yoga aficionados were suspicious about it, so they approached the women and began interrogating them.

They discovered that the women were evasive.  They forbade anybody from handling the baggage.  As suspicions grew, the people summoned the local police officer.  Everyone was astonished by what came out.
A woman's body was bundled up in blood-stained clothing.

The yoga camp's director, raja Sau, stated, "They told us that it contained the body of their dog, a labrador, and refused to open the case."  "We were incredulous.  What is a lab's maximum weight?  Thirty or forty kilograms?  What prevented them from dragging the luggage between them?  It was also a trolley.

He said that it took more than 30 minutes to get back and forth.  Over fifty individuals had assembled at that point.

One of the ladies said it contained the body of the girl's sister-in-law, who had committed suicide, while everyone was questioning them.  But how could they get rid of it that way if that were the case?  "One calls the police and takes such a person to the hospital," he said.

The local police officer summoned further help when the lady confessed to the suitcase holding a dead corpse.

The ladies were immediately taken into custody by the police, who identified them as Falguni Ghosh and her mother Aarati Ghosh.  Her aunt-in-law, Sumita Ghosh, was the deceased woman.

According to locals, the two women were able to find a train ticket.  At first, it was believed that they traveled to Kumartuli via train from Kazipara.  But from Madhyamgram, which is close to Kolkata, the police have obtained CCTV evidence showing them transporting the luggage in a cart to a nearby taxi stop.  According to the police, they had taken a taxi directly to Kumartuli.

According to sources, the women lived in Madhyamgram.  The mother and daughter had been residing in the rented housing for more than two years, according to preliminary findings.

Since the family mostly kept to themselves, no one had any information about the people who were allegedly observed entering the residence at night, according to local reports.

According to reports, a woman was spotted entering the property at night a few days ago.  Investigations are ongoing.

The city has been appalled by the tragedy, which follows the triple murder in Tangra.  After the males of the family wrecked a car near the city's busy Eastern Metropolitan Bypass early last week, two women and a girl were discovered dead in a residence.

The ladies had already passed away by suicide, and the guys, pranay and Prasun Dey, had stated that they were trying to end their lives.
