In a hamlet in the interior of tamil Nadu, the newly appointed collector is greeted with much ceremony at the tahsildar office.  A member of the IT staff named Paari, a computer engineer, is misidentified as the collector and takes pleasure in the attention until things get out of control.  In the workplace, he will collaborate with his former coworker Indu.  Villagers, meanwhile, flock to the streets in search of a wine shop.

It's unfortunate that when filmmakers manufacture copies of popular things, the market is always pleased.  Opportunities to create novel tales and defy conventions are being choked daily in the quest to be safe and follow criteria.  Although the outcome may be amusing and beneficial to OTTs, it conveys the incorrect message to an environment already engulfed in its own mediocrity.

Like Prime's Panchayat, office, which was directed by Abdul Kabeez, is purposefully set in a village with no particular geographic specifics; it is devoid of specific allusions and aims to appeal to all tamil Nadu audiences.  With an emphasis on the routines and languid work culture of the tahsildar office, which is awaiting the arrival of a collector, it provides a humorous glimpse into its country environment.

The village's internal politics, the triviality of the problems, and the office's power structure are all parodied by the filmmaker. The team's verbal teasing and the peculiarities of the employees—such as the fact that two brothers-in-law share a roof, a female employee has a food obsession, and Indu is picky about moving to a private firm soon—make the program more engaging.

Office adds a lot of local subtleties and a unique flavor to a familiar situation without resorting to comedy, which is exactly what Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam (the tamil version of Panchayat) might have done.  To keep the script engaging and appealing to its intended audience, a variety of personalities and unusual scenarios are included.  Go for it if you're feeling like seeing a humorous rural dramedy.
