Before it was released in theaters, kangana Ranaut's Emergency was rife with controversy.  Despite appearing to have a strong start, the movie struggled at the box office.  Despite receiving favorable reviews from reviewers, the movie lost all of its appeal after its first day of release.  In the film, the contentious period of the indian government under the internal emergency enforced by then-prime minister Indira gandhi was shown.  

The producers attempted to convey the episodes in the most appealing way possible, but the issue itself was a hazardous one. In her role as Indira gandhi, kangana ranaut was outstanding throughout the movie.  With their performances, veterans Satish Kaushik, Anupam Kher, and shreyas talpade increased the film's impact.  

The movie, which received good reviews but a weak box office performance, will debut on the over-the-top streaming service Netflix on march 17.  It remains to be seen if the movie will be well received on wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital platforms.  But Netflix will undoubtedly give the movie a larger audience. Emergency, directed by kangana ranaut, is a biography of former prime minister Indira gandhi that focuses on the Emergency era in 1975.  Alongside the lead heroine, the ensemble cast includes important roles from Anupam Kher, shreyas talpade, mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, and Satish Kaushik.
