A humanoid robot went feral and charged toward a group of festival attendees, as seen in a shocking video.  The robot, wearing a colorful jacket, is shown in the footage, which was recorded on february 9 at the Spring festival Gala in Tianjin, northeast China, leaping toward a gathering of shocked bystanders gathered behind a barricade.

To avoid any possible injury, security guards quickly stepped in and pulled the unstable robot away from the throng.

The incident was minimized by the event organizers, who blamed it on a "robotic failure."  According to Metro, they emphasized that precautions had been made to ensure that a similar occurrence doesn't happen again and gave their word that the robot had passed safety checks before the incident.

Unitree Robotics created the "humanoid agent AI avatar" in question.  Reports state that the robot's unpredictable behavior is thought to have been caused by a software bug.

This event is not unique; other instances of rogue AI have made news, such as the time a robot assaulted an engineer at Tesla's facility in Texas.  According to an official incident report, the machine held him down and left a trail of blood where its claws injured their arm and back.

Software bugs have been shown to be the root cause in many of these incidents, underscoring the significance of thorough testing and quality control in the creation of AI.

Concerns over the possible hazards and effects of technology on human life have grown.  One person commented on the video, saying, "So it begins... An AI-controlled robot attacked a human."

Someone else said, "Just a little preview of our bright future."  A third person said, "Can we please work out ALL the glitches before being released upon the public?"  A fourth point was made, "Should we be worried that AIs and robots can turn dangerous against humans due to glitch."
