In this, toll booths are being set up in Lakhanpur and Pan on the Jammu-Pathankot Highway connecting to this expressway and the toll is being collected. The judges who heard the case have issued an important order to the National Highways Authority. Accordingly, they said that toll booths are being set up like mushrooms with the sole aim of collecting money from the people, and the National Highways Authority of india and private contractors are collecting huge amounts of money from toll booths, but they raised the question of whether the roads are of the appropriate quality. They said that the only objective should not be to collect money from the people and that the toll booths should be reasonable. They announced that only 20% of the existing toll booths at Lakhanpur and Pan in kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>jammu and kashmir should be collected as toll booths and this order will come into effect immediately. The judges also said in their order that the toll booths should be inspected by independent inspectors and that there should be no toll booths within a 60-km interval on NH-44 in Jammu and Kashmir. If there are any, the additional toll booths should be removed within two months.
