Rakul Preet Singh, a bollywood actress, has expressed her support for prime minister narendra Modi's campaign to fight obesity and encourage better living in India.   The actress emphasized the value of leading a healthy lifestyle and urged everyone to work together to build a better country in an exclusive interview with IANS.

"Obesity is becoming a concerning problem, but if we work together, we can change it," Singh said.  It's time for us to act now that our prime minister, Shri narendra Modi, has emphasized the value of health.  Our young people are prioritizing fitness, and we can follow their example by making basic, daily decisions.  I myself strive for a healthy lifestyle, and I urge everyone to join me in this endeavor.  For instance, use the stairs, replace soda with water, and concentrate on developing sustainable habits.  Whether at work, school or elsewhere, it's about creating a culture of well-being.  Together, let's work to build a stronger and healthier India.  Jai hind.

In his monthly radio show, Mann Ki Baat, prime minister narendra Modi recently discussed the growing obesity problem and urged well-known individuals to help spread the word.  He nominated a number of celebrities as part of his campaign to urge people to support the cause and to increase awareness of the value of leading a healthy lifestyle.  He asked these celebrities to nominate ten additional persons in an effort to increase the effect.
