Salman Khan was the target of a flurry of mocking after the release of the Sikandar teaser.  His dialogues have been attacked by trolls who claim they are too casual and unimportant.  The significant age gap between salman and actress rashmika mandanna is fueling the fires.  Salman, who is about 60, is nearly twice as old as rashmika, who is around 30.  The 30-year age difference has drawn a lot of criticism, with many describing their on-screen chemistry as, to put it mildly, embarrassing.

Surprisingly, bollywood is not the only industry exhibiting this pattern.  Top couplings in South indian cinema also frequently have age differences.  For instance, ravi Teja, who is in his late 50s, has come under fire for dating ladies considerably younger than him, such as Sreeleela and Bhagyashri Borse.  Nevertheless, the success of movies like Dhamaka, which starred ravi Teja with Sreeleela, is due to the way the filmmaker has been able to highlight amusing and captivating interactions between the main characters.

The course taken by AR murugadoss may determine Sikandar's success.  People may forget about salman and Rashmika's age gap if he can craft sequences between them that are authentic and captivating.  However, based on the preview, they now have an awkward and uninteresting on-screen persona.  The challenge is to overcome the first hesitancy and create a film that captures the audience's attention in spite of the apparent age difference.
