John Abraham is among Bollywood's most underappreciated performers, having starred in films ranging from Dostana and dhoom to Satyamev Jayate and The Diplomat.  John said in a recent interview that he frequently feels sexualized and objectified by women, but he doesn't mind.  He entered the profession and established himself thanks to his appearance and fitness.  He was allowed to take chances with his parts and personas after he had made a name for himself.  The Diplomat actor also talked about how confident and at ease he is in his role as an actor.

He explained that the fact that the plot had a female lead didn't worry him, using his movie Vedaa as an example.  He is so confident in himself as an actor that he doesn't mind taking a backseat and allowing someone else steal the show.  He said that few performers would be willing to play a part like Abhimanyu's in the modern day.  In the movie, his character dies and even admits that he is only a facilitator—the true star is someone else.

"Most actors want to be in the spotlight these days," john said.  Few are prepared to take a backseat and let someone else perform.  He thinks this is the reason why it is currently impossible to produce a movie like Ocean's 11.  Everyone want to be the protagonist.  The two major characters would not be given equal priority since both performers would want to be the primary hero, even if india were to develop an Ocean's 2.
