These days, predicting a movie's audience connection is really difficult.  Telugu movies are being seen by people all over the world thanks to OTT services that are removing linguistic borders.  Allu Arjun is a remarkable exception to the general rule that telugu movies have had trouble in Kerala.  

In Kerala, Bunny's flicks have been very popular since Happy.  However, even on OTT, pushpa 2 could not impress the malayalam audience.  Despite everything else, pushpa 2 was unable to create much of an impression following its wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital distribution on Netflix. Many people viewed it but forgot about it. 

Unexpectedly, the same malayalam public that formerly gave Nandamuri balakrishna zero recognition now taking notice of his Daaku Maharaj.  The movie, which has been available for four days on Netflix, has been surprisingly popular among Malayali fans.  Daaku Maharaj is receiving positive reviews on OTT despite having a mediocre theatrical run.  Balakrishna's acting, ascension sequences, graphics, and BGM have received a ton of applause on social media.
 
Even more unexpected is the fact that Balayya's widespread popularity is now being embraced by Malayali viewers, who are often renowned for favoring classy films.  His screen presence is just now becoming apparent to many, demonstrating how OTT platforms may alter viewer perceptions in surprising ways!
