Yash had an extended sabbatical after kgf 2 before beginning Toxic, but the film's production is presently moving quickly and without significant pauses.  The team's decision to concurrently film it in kannada and english has generated controversy and is the most recent rumor.

There are dangers associated with shooting in two languages.  It raises manufacturing costs considerably, and similar experiments have not fared well in the past.  This strategy caused problems for movies like Nagarjuna's Shanti kranti and Mahesh Babu's Spyder.  The one recent exception was Dhanush's Vaathi/Sir, which had some degree of success.

Whether an english translation of Toxic will be beneficial is another important topic.  With rrr, rajamouli demonstrated that viewers are ready to see a strong original version with subtitles.  Legends of hollywood like Steven Spielberg and james cameron even applauded rrr after seeing the indian version.

A well-dubbed release should be adequate if yash is aiming for a worldwide audience rather than making separate English-language films.  For a wider audience across India, he might have done it in hindi rather than English.  Responses to Toxic's teaser, which was unveiled on Yash's birthday, were not quite unanimous.

Yash's choice to sign the movie is already extremely hazardous because award-winning director Geethu Mohandas has never worked with a major commercial hero.  The producers have delayed the release to make sure the movie lives up to the hype in order to preserve KGF's popularity.  Nayanthara plays a significant part, and kiara advani plays the female lead.
