Originally intended to be a single film, Shankar's indian 2, starring kamal haasan, was ultimately split into two parts due to its lengthy duration.  Last July 12th, indian 2 was released in theaters. It concluded with a trailer for indian Part 3.  But indian 2 was a huge failure and turned into a netizen troll fest.
 
According to earlier rumors, the indian 3 film will be published straight on Netflix, an over-the-top streaming service, with just a few days of patchwork left to shoot.  The rest of the film's production will be finished and released when lyca productions has paid shankar and Kamal Haasan's salaries.  But currently, there is a lot of conjecture that Lyca chose not to participate in indian 3 because of the devastating defeat in indian 2.  Red Giant Movies is now preparing to take over the indian 3 project and has already begun negotiations with shankar and kamal haasan to finish the film's patchwork in order to release it early.
 
Despite Lyca's decision to opt out, they will still receive credit in the film because they invested a significant amount of money in developing indian 3, and just 10% of the filming is still unfinished.  Nothing has been verified as of yet, and there are currently no accurate updates available.  Let's wait and see whether the remaining parts of indian 3 are finished and if the film will ever be released.  Kajal Aggarwal also states at this point that she is finished with the film and is unable to return to the set.
