Originally slated for release on march 7, john Abraham's The Diplomat has been rescheduled for march 14, coinciding with Dhadak 2 during the festival of colors.  With just three weeks to go before its release, Dhadak 2, which starred Triptii Dimri and siddhant chaturvedi, could have ideally started promoting.  The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has been holding it up, though.

Dhadak 2 is anticipated to be a powerful movie that tackles caste concerns.  The CBFC Examining Committee has commended the creators for tackling this topic.  They are still discussing the film's appropriate rating and whether any parts should be trimmed, though, because of its delicate subject matter.

After the censor board gives its approval, the movie's marketing campaign will begin.  The creators would rather exercise caution and prevent any delays in delivery because of certification concerns.  The movie will be released on march 14 if it is approved; if not, the date may be moved forward.

The industry was taken aback by this circumstance because there were no censorship issues with the first movie, Pariyerum Perumal (2018).  Since the plot of Dhadak 2 is the identical, many people are wondering why it is having these problems whereas the tamil movie did not.  Pahlaj Nihalani, the previous head of the CBFC, discussed this disparity last month.

He said that while many CBFC members from mumbai have political ties that affect their choices, members from South india are often more liberal.  The CBFC's decision is now the center of attention.  Will siddhant chaturvedi and john Abraham's much awaited confrontation this holi be delayed, or will Dhadak 2 receive its approval in time?
