Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), Dhanush's third directing endeavor, debuted in theaters on february 21 and has drawn mixed reviews from viewers. It stars newcomers Pavish and Anikha Surender in the key roles.  According to sources, NEEK has only made about 7 crores in tamil Nadu so far, and its box office receipts have plummeted in the majority of B and C locations.
 
Despite being directed by dhanush and having a musical soundtrack created by gv prakash Kumar, the film is only performing mediocrely at the box office, and many people in rural regions aren't even aware that it was released.  Fans of dhanush are worried about how NEEK's lackluster box office success may affect Dhanush's next film, Idly kadai, in which he both starred and directed.
 
Since NEEK lacked star value and dhanush did not attend any of its promotional events, its mediocre box office result was previously anticipated.  Additionally, the trade experts predict that Dhanush's Idly kadai won't be impacted by the NEEK verdict because dhanush played the protagonist in the film.  Idly Kadai's filming is nearly over, and post-production is now moving quickly.  The Idly kadai crew has set april 10th as the film's release date.  After its publication, we'll see if Idly kadai succeeds or fails.
