Bollywood has produced films that start off with a single actor before changing.  One such movie is Be Happy, which will be available on amazon Prime Video on march 14, 2025.  Many believed it to be a resuscitation of Dancing Dad, a project that salman khan and Remo D'Souza had planned between 2016 and 2017.  However, Be Happy is a brand-new movie even though the premise can be the same.

Dancing Dad, a dance-based emotional drama about a father and his daughter, was Remo D'Souza's idea back in 2017.  Salman Khan was supposed to play the lead in the movie, but before it could be released, salman urged Remo to helm Race 3.  Remo put Dancing Dad on hold in anticipation of a major action movie.

The choice turned out to be expensive.  One of the worst movies salman has ever made was Race 3.  Salman reportedly separated from Remo following the film's failure, and it became a meme phenomenon for all the wrong reasons.  Dancing Dad was subsequently shelved, and Remo's standing as a filmmaker suffered. Years later, Remo returned with a brand-new movie called Be Happy, in which abhishek bachchan played a single dad.  According to current sources, Be Happy is a completely new movie, despite claims that it was a modified version of Dancing Dad.
 
The plot and execution have evolved, but the fundamental feeling of a father's quest to encourage his daughter's aspirations has not.  Dancing Dad would have been a huge bollywood movie if it had been filmed in 2017 starring salman Khan.  In a time when over-the-top (OTT) platforms are prevalent and provide a more intimate narrative, Now Be Happy is being released.  Will Be Happy have the same effect as a Salman-starring film, despite Abhishek's experience with emotional dramas like Ghoomer?
