One of salman Khan's most anticipated movies is Sikandar.  Fans are anxiously awaiting the superstar's big-budget comeback, and the teaser released in december of last year has already raised the prospect.  Currently scheduled for release on sunday, march 30, the action-drama directed by A.R. murugadoss will come on Eid this year.

International ticketing sites announced the release date, and the major revelation on february 27 is anticipated to divulge further information.  Notably, advance sales for the movie are already available in foreign markets, and as of right now, almost 41,000 tickets totaling $628,729 have been sold.

Sikandar will face competition from previous blockbusters, such as Pathaan, Jawan, stree 2, Animal, and pushpa 2, in terms of advance booking in foreign circuits, even if a trailer has not yet been published.  With an advance booking total of Rs. 75 crores abroad in 2023, Jawan set records, and it appears that salman would be under pressure to surpass his close friend's achievements in the movie business.

In light of this, Sikandar has to earn around Rs. 44 crores on the first day abroad in order to qualify for the top 10 bollywood openings outside of India.  Over the years, A.R. murugadoss has maintained a respectable record, and it is uncertain if Sikandar will be able to duplicate the success of his previous productions.  However, because sunday is a working day and people might not want to go to the movies, the movie's sunday release could hurt its box office receipts.

If the movie needs to be a box office success, it could be a good idea for the producers to move its release date from a sunday to an extended weekend.  With a staggering 400 crore rupee budget, Sikandar's makers may not be able to recoup all of their costs.
