Shama Mohamed, the National Spokesperson for the congress, shocked everyone by labeling indian cricket captain rohit sharma "fat for a sportsperson" and the "most unimpressive" skipper in indian history. The party swiftly stepped in and asked her to remove the post after it caused a lot of reaction. Later, the post was removed.

"For a sportsman, rohit sharma is overweight!  Weight loss is necessary!  And, of course, India's least spectacular captain ever!"  Her post has now been removed. Her remarks immediately sparked criticism, especially among cricket fans and bjp officials.  In response to a user who referred to Sharma as a "world-class player," Mohamed questioned his legacy in comparison to indian cricketing greats such as Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, and Kapil Dev.

"Compared to his predecessors, what makes him so exceptional?  He is a terrible player and captain who was fortunate enough to lead india," she added.

Mohamed's comments were promptly denounced by the bjp, which charged that the congress was "body-shaming" and demeaning a world cup champion.  Radhika Khera, a bjp politician who defected from the congress and joined the party, charged that the congress had "humiliated athletes for decades."

"This congress, which denied athletes respect and ridiculed them for decades, now has the audacity to make fun of a cricket legend?  A self-made champion is being lectured by the nepotistic party?  "Khera said."

Rahul Gandhi was criticized by radhika Khera, who claimed that although rohit sharma helped india win the world cup, the congress leader found it difficult to govern his own party without causing strife.  She also made fun of Jairam Ramesh, telling him that rather of focusing on a cricket player who has brought honor to india, he should concentrate on the congress party's waning popularity, legitimacy, and electoral position.

"Congress should worry about its own sinking dynast before taking cheap shots at India's pride!" she stated.
