Google has made a list public and requested that users of Chrome remove 16 extensions right now.  Over 30 lakh users use these extensions globally, and they have been compromised.
 
To make their work easier, a lot of people install browser extensions.  While some extensions are highly helpful and may accomplish tasks with a single click, this can occasionally become problematic.  A similar instance has now surfaced, and google has issued a warning to Chrome users about it.  A list of 16 extensions was made public by the corporation, and customers were urged to remove them right away.
 

What is the danger of the extension?
According to google, these extensions that have features like emoji keyboards, ad blocking, and screen recording might introduce harmful scripts into the browser, increasing the risk of both search engine fraud and data theft.  According to GitLab Threat Intelligence's analysis, 32 lakh users use these extensions globally, and they have been compromised.  With their assistance, hackers can now steal user data and commit numerous additional crimes.  Google has since issued a warning.
 

Take these extensions off right away.

Google has released a list of affected extensions. It includes Blipshot, Emojis (emoji keyboard), Color Changer for YouTube, Video Effects for YouTube and audio Enhancer, Themes for Chrome and YouTube, Picture in Picture, Mike Adblock für Chrome, Super Dark Mode, Emoji Keyboard Emojis for Chrome, Adblocker for Chrome (NoAds), Adblock for You, Adblock for Chrome, Nimble Capture, KProxy, Page Refresh, Wistia Video Downloader and WAToolkit. google gave this advice.

According to google, users should remove these browser extensions right once and run an antivirus scan on their computer.  Users will need to manually remove these from the browser, as they have been taken out of the Chrome Web Store.
