After 15 illustrious years in the film business, samantha Ruth Prabhu has demonstrated adaptability, tenacity, and relentless reinvention.  Since making her screen debut in "Ye Maaya Chesave," samantha has developed into one of the most popular and lucrative actors in South indian film.  One of the most successful and adaptable actresses in indian cinema, sam is renowned for her strong performances in telugu and tamil movies.

After receiving a lot of attention for her breakthrough performance in Ye Maaya Chesave (2010), she soon rose to prominence in movies like Super Deluxe, Theri, Mersal, and Eega.  Beyond her financial success, samantha has continuously pushed the envelope in parts that defy expectations, such as Shaakuntalam and the family man 2.  Having won numerous accolades, including four major ones, she keeps evolving by juggling popular blockbusters with content-driven movies and entering the production industry.

In a recent interview samantha said, "Fifteen years is a very long time. Parts of it feel like forever, and parts of it feel like a blur. I've come a long way. There are films that, when I watch now, I can't believe I acted so badly. But that’s how I learned. I didn’t have mentors; I didn’t have someone to guide me. I didn’t even know the language. The performances that make me cringe are the ones where I was struggling to fit in. Initially, most of the glamorous roles weren’t really me. I was trying to fit in, trying to be like my fantastic peers. I tried to look like them, act like them, dance like them. When I watch those performances now, I find them absolutely ridiculous."
