Actor rashmika mandanna was criticized by congress MLA ravi ganiga for allegedly declining an invitation to the Bengaluru international Film festival (BIFF). However, ganiga rejected her claim that she had declined the invitation.

"I contest that.  We'll make public the paperwork stating we invited rashmika to the film festival and she didn't show up," said ravi ganiga, who said he didn't think it was her own words but rather those of her PR team.

Although he claimed he had nothing personal against rashmika, he seemed to be wondering if she felt any appreciation for the field that helped her get her big break.

"Shilpa Shetty and anushka shetty are not the subject of our complaints.  These women are karnataka natives who have always worked in the film industry.  Rashmika began her acting career in kannada before moving on to other (film) sectors, according to the Mandya MLA.

"I don't personally dislike Rashmika.  On behalf of Kannadigas, I am posing these inquiries," he continued.

Ganiga had previously claimed that the actor had turned down numerous invites to BIFF.  He had remarked that she should be disciplined for disparaging and denying her connection to the kannada film industry.
