Earlier this month, Sanya Malhotra's Mrs. made news for reportedly spreading a harmful message based on the movie's central idea.  Mrs., which debuted directly on Zee5, is an adaption of the malayalam movie The Great indian Kitchen.  With nearly 400 million streaming minutes following its february 7, 2025, release, the movie has helped increase audience even though it is trending for other reasons.  Mrs. has also received a user rating of 4.6 out of 5 on google and has been searched for the most times.
 
Critics and viewers have already responded well to the movie.  However, prior to its debut on Zee5, nobody anticipated it would become that popular.  The movie became popular on social media, which piqued people's interest in seeing it nonetheless.  A portion of the crowd also condemned the movie, saying it was anti-family and that it celebrated divorce and phony feminism.  However, these factors have also contributed to the movie's success.
 
However, the aforementioned responses do not imply that the movie was appropriate for theatrical exhibition.  The popularity of these films has declined among moviegoers, particularly in North India.  As of right now, it's clear that Sanya has become well-known thanks to the movie's success.  However, it's unclear if her next solo endeavors will be met with any kind of comparable reaction.
