'Mr & Mrs Bachelor' director Deepu karunakaran made accusations against malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan, who responded with a powerful statement.  He said that Anaswara declined to take part in the postponed movie's advertising.  In a lengthy statement posted to Instagram, she said she was ready to sue him if he continued to make such "defamatory" remarks.

"I had already given an interview before the scheduled release date as part of the film's promotions," Anaswara said in a forceful statement, dismissing his claims and claiming that she was the only member of the cast to promote the movie even before its scheduled release.  My promotional interview is the only one available online for this movie.

She said she did her part by spreading the teasers and posters, but she was not told that the film's release date had changed.  Anaswara said that her career would suffer as a result of Deepu's remarks and the YouTube channel's coverage of them.

The Neru actor went on to say that the director had also said that other actors were having similar problems.  "By selectively dragging my name into this issue - especially when I am relatively new to the industry and a woman - it seems he assumed I would not respond," she stated.

According to Anaswara, she has lodged a complaint with the Association of malayalam movie Artists (AMMA) against director Deepu Karunakaran.  If such disparaging remarks persist, she is ready to file a lawsuit.

The star added that she would be open to participating in the movie's promotion as long as she is notified beforehand.
