An indian traveler who was unhappy with the actions of several of his fellow indian visitors in vietnam resorted to social media to voice his displeasure.

He bemoaned the fact that their behavior was damaging India's image and making him and perhaps other indians who were traveling outside feel embarrassed. During his recent journey to vietnam, the traveler expressed his dismay and embarrassment at seeing several indian visitors acting in an unruly manner. He denounced those who engaged in "unbecoming" behavior, claiming that it damages India's reputation among the populace and causes a decline in pride in the country.

His experience in vietnam left him feeling as though he was "shouldering the consequences of other indian tourists' misbehavior," he wrote in a Reddit post.  He observed that he was frequently treated rudely by the locals, but he conceded that this could be because of their prior experiences with unruly indian tourists.  He drew particular attention to the infamous reputation of some indian male tourists, whose actions were said to have caused discomfort for local ladies.

Let's face it: many of these so-called "travelers" are a source of shame.  Many visitors treat vietnam as their own playground, showing no regard for local traditions.  Because of past experiences, it's grown so terrible that women flatly refuse to give indian guys massages or anything else intimate," he wrote.

Then there's the obvious lack of quality.  They expect everything to be really cheap and act entitled when it's not, not the kind where you're worried about being overcharged as a tourist.  They attempt to force their conventions on a completely new culture, bringing with them their worst practices.  It's humiliating," he continued.
